Description

This is our Flex Fix for the CSL DD and DD Pro wheelbases, it has been carefully designed to help you get the best experience with your wheelbase and provide a nicer aesthetic look on the unit. Because this is such a precise fit, our metal QR-1 version tightens up the connection to your shaft elimating the flex and wobble that many experience with their wheelbase. Most of this flex is due to variations in the diameter of the shaft that Fanatec is sending out and we account for this by using a set screw to stabilize the cover to make sure it will fit on any CSL DD and DD Pro wheelbases.

I have 3 versions available, the first is designed specifically for the Fanatec metal QR-1 that is a very tight fit to eliminate the flex or wobble you may have on the wheelbase. This version will only fit wheels with the metal QR-1 using the original shaft clamp for the wheelbase. These will not fit the plastic QR1-Lite of the McLaren GT3 rims or the molded in plastic QR on the older CSL Elite rims. It also will not fit with the upgraded 2-piece clamp for the CSL DD.

The second version is For 2 Piece Clamp which is designed specifically to be used with the upgraded 2-piece shaft collar and the metal QR-1 only. If you need a 2-peice clamp for your CSL DD, check out ours here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1456926176/fanatec-csl-dd-dd-pro-improved-2-piece

The 3rd and final version is purely cosmetic and does not tighten up the QR or provide any flex fix. This version will work with any Fanatec rim regardless of the QR installed and covers the shaft for a cleaner look. Again, this version is only cosmetic and will not fix any wheel flex, it is intended for those that have wheels with the plastic QR.

Installation is as follows - loosen the U shaped clamp and pull the shaft straight out of the wheelbase. With the set screw loose, slide the cover onto the shaft from the back. Now reattach the shaft to the wheelbase and tighten the U clamp. Adjust the cover to your desired position and tighten the set screw. If you have the metal QR version I recommend attaching your wheel with metal QR first and then adjusting the cover, it should mesh perfectly with the bottom of your metal QR to eliminate the flex.
